So Lauren Conrad may not be on the Hills anymore but she is still a force in the fashion and beauty industry. Lauren is currently very busy as a spokesperson for Avon’s Mark collection, working on her clothing line and now she graces the cover of the May edition of Glamour magazine. Lauren sat down with Glamour for an interview and gave us a peek at the beautiful life of Ms. Lauren Conrad.

On pressure to be thin…

“I work out and eat healthy, so mostly it’s about being in shape and having energy. But about a year ago, I looked down and thought, I have cellulite. Where did that come from?”

Personally I love Lauren Conrad and the Hills just haven’t been the same without her :(

Supermodel Beauty Tips from Cindy Crawford

After all these years Cindy Crawford at 44 yrs old is still STUNNING!

She recently met up with InStyle magazine to share some of her secrets that keep her looking naturally beautiful. Even though many people may think she just wakes up looking beautiful Cindy promises she doesn’t wake up looking picture perfect- but she does use simple tricks to enhance her beauty without looking overdone.

These are some of her beauty tips…

The trick to perfect lips

Cindy says it’s important to not skip lip liner. To do her lips she starts by moisturizing with a balm and then lines them with a flesh toned pencil to enhance the natural shape of her lips. For a youthful look she wears a nude color – but is sure to not wear a color that is too light or will wash her out, preferably beigy-pinks that are a shade darker than her skintone.

Cindy’s bonus lip tip: To make lips look fuller dab a bit of shimmer powder on the “widow’s peak” of your lip to make lips look fuller.

Get Microdermabrasion

Even with the best and most expensive skincare products, you just can’t get the same results as you can with Microderm. Cindy says she gets Microderm once a month to remove dead skin cells and in between treatments she uses a gentle scrub pad to get all the makeup out of her pores.

Find your perfect hair color

“People always talk about plastic surgery and Botox, but I think the right hair color, more than anything else, is what keeps a woman looking youthful.” Cindy suggests taking photos of your hair in different lighting to see what looks best, and aim for dimension – not flat color.

 

 

Cindy spoke to US Weekly recently to share with them how she continues to look beautiful and happy!

She said "It's a combination of a lot of things. I don't smoke, I don't take too much sun on my face- all of those things. If you keep doing them enough over the years, they add up."

"It's not that I work out every day and I'm not even on a diet- I just eat healthy. I'm never off the wagon, so I never have to get back on the wagon. It's all about maintaining a healthy body weight."

 

Cindy also told US weekly: "If you're happy and you're doing work that you enjoy- for me it's about being a mother- that comes out in how I look." Cindy went on to say " When you don't have anything interesting to do, you start thinking too much about what you don't have anymore. When you appreciate fulfilling things like family, work, friends, or the possibility of helping other people, you will have a focus. The list could go on. But to be standing in front of a mirror and to moan, Oh my God, I've just found another wrinkle! That's embarrassing. I don't have time for that."

Kris Jenner's Beauty advise...passed down to her daughters

No doubt Kris Jenner passed down her genes to her gorgeous daughters but did she pass down her beauty advice too???? According to people magazine she did just that to her daughters Kourtney, Kim and Khloe...and at a very young age too!

Kim explains that when her mother Kris was a stewardess all the ladies she worked with would take beauty classes at Saks Fifth Avenue and she learned to take her makeup off with a hot washcloth. Kris made sure to pass down that beloved secret to her girls and now they all use hot washclothes to take off their makeup. (If you watch Keeping up with the Kardashians you will see the girls do this queit a bit.) Kris's other secret to maintaining great skin is to always moisturize!

Kourtney explains how when she was in 4th grade her mom taught her how to shave. I told you she started these girls on beauty routines at a young age...but I guess it paid off! Kourtney said her mom bought her and her sisters sterling silver razors with little stands. She would also take the girls to get their arms waxed!!

A signature scent...almost everyone has one. You know what I'm talking about you smell a certain fragrance and you instantly think of someone whether it be your mom, a best freind or a guy.  For example anytime I smell CoCo Channel I instantly think of my BFF :) Well celebrities have signature scents too...and I'm not just talking about their own lines of fragrance I'm talking about their everyday go to scent when they want to feel sexy.

Sure some may be their own line of perfume like Kimora Lee Simmons, she loves her own Baby Phat Seductive Goddess, she says " For the holidays, I like having a fragrance that has a little weight to it, and this one has a bite- it's a very exotic and spicy scent, and my very own creation."

Kristen Bell the star of Forgetting Sarah Marshall is such a cutie! And she is a Michigan girl like me so I have to love that! So what keeps her looking so darn cute??? Check out her favorite things!

Since Kristen is a vegetarian she loves salads her favorite is called the Garbage Disposal Salad...
"Oh my gosh, it's the best! I usually start with spinach, then put in almonds, pine nuts, dried cranberries, blueberries, apples, broccoli, cucumbers, carrots and celery. Believe it or not; it tastes good together. Put some feta or Parmesan on top and you don't even need dressing."

OK now I get why its called the garbage disposal that salad has everything in it!

" A great way to get everything the super-food kale has to offer. Break off the stems and break the leaves into potato chip size pieces. Then drizzle them in olive oil, put sea salt on them, and bake em for 10 minutes at 400 degrees. Tasty."

Lea Michele from the new hit Glee rocked her "LBD" at a Fox party back in September. Lea took the more conservative approach with plain black pumps and sans jewelry.

For me it's kind of a toss up between Tisdale and McCord but I think I'm going to have to give it to McCord her bright colors make a statement and I like it ;)

Celebrity Hair Mishaps

I think everyone has encountered some hair mishaps in their past. I know I have...when I was 15 I really wanted my hair cut like Courtney Cox...yes this was during the late 90's when the Friends hair craze was in full effect. Well I went to the salon and brought in a picture and the stylist cut my hair way too short! My hair was cut to my chin when before my hair was about an inch past my shoulders. I just wanted layers and maybe a inch or so off. Wow I was devastated I started balling my eyes out as soon as I got into the car! Since I was a Freshman in high school and did not want to show off my new hair until I could figure something out I stayed home from school the next day obsessing about how I was going to do my hair until it grew back! Needless to say everything turned out fine and my life wasn't over becuase of my hair...lol

Well celebrities are just like us and a few of them shared their hair mishaps of the past too.

"When I was 17, I cut my hair up to my ears. It was a blunt cut all the way around and I used to hairspray it until it was stiff. When I look back, I'm like 'Ugh!"

She said that when she was younger she asked to have layers cut into her hair and the stylist cut the back all one length and left the two pieces in front long -like utters! Anne said 'It was horrible, but I kept a brave face, I even tipped her."

Halle said that back in the 80s it was all about big hair and lots of make up and trying to look older than you were. Halle has said that she looks younger now at 42 than she did when she was 20! Halle said that back in 1994 she had a feathered hair do that she said looked like a backwards mullet!
