Biore Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser Review

As much as I hate to admit it I have really been struggling with my skin lately. I have oily/combination skin and just haven't been able to control breakouts ...and I'm 27 years old!! (well 28 next week..but who's counting) I have tried alot of different face washes lately, Cetafil...worked pretty good but once colder weather hit it was a little drying on my skin and didn't help fight the breakouts as well as in the summer with combination of the summer sun, then I tried Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash...which really dried out my skin leaving it looking dull and still not preventing breakouts. So after all that nothing has really given me the results I was looking for...results similar to when I was using Proactiv. The only reason I haven't gone back to Proactiv is the cost I want a great cleanser at a low cost...am I really asking for too much?

Well Biore doesn't think so! I was on a mission to find the perfect face wash so I did some research on which were the top ranked. I kept coming across Biore Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser so I finally decided to try it out. WOW am I glad I did!! Not only did it clear up a mild breakout I had within days it prevents them from coming back!! My face hasn't broken out since I started using it on November 30th! That even includes that "special time of the month" when I am always prone to breakouts and I understand why they call it "Ice" Cleanser it's because of the cool fresh feeling after washing your face so it's great wake up in the morning especially for me because I am NOT a morning person. I would definitely recommend this cleanser to anyone like me who is struggling with their skin!

Biore Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser has won the ALLURE Beauty Award for Best Face Wash 2008 & 2009! The bottle also claims to work 68% better than ProActiv.

Here is what Biore has to say about their product...

Review: Clinique Even Better

Unfortunately after quiet a few years being out in the sun even my olive tone skin still has some sun damage...and I'm only 27! Boo... But I have been on the look out for a product that will help even out my skin tone. So I did some research on what the new hot product was and came across Clinique Even Better and here is my review...

What Clinique says:

"Now you can virtually undo the visible signs of past sun damage, dark patches, age spots, even acne scarring. Starting in just 4 weeks.
... a lightweight serum that gently creates-for all ethnicities- a notably more even complexion with a brightness and clarity you thought long gone."

What I say:

After 4 weeks of applying the serum twice daily...one in the morning before putting make up on and one in the evening before I went to bed, I really didn't notice much of a difference. They provide you with a skin tone card and you are suppose to compare from day one until the end of 4 weeks...especially with any dark spots you are focusing on. It comes in a pretty small bottle and cost $40. (So there is barely a 4weeks supply and it is pricey.) It definitely left my skin feeling smooth after I put it on. It is a great primer for foundation! But I also have very sensitive skin, so I am prone to breakouts...and yes this did make me break out. I know some products work better for some than others so I am not saying this product is a total failure it just didn't work well for me. I am very disappointed because I was really excited to try it out especially since it was a beauty award winner! Maybe if I used a bit more of the serum each day it would have worked better but then it definitely wouldn't have lasted me 4 weeks. So overall not the best skin tone corrector but a great foundation primer!

Clean and Clear Deep Action Exfoliating Scrub...

Review:

So I was looking for an exfoliator and stumbled across Clean and Clear Deep Action Exfoliating Scrub. It was also a Self Magazine Beauty and Health Winner in 2008, so I figured it had to be worth a try. It is reasonably priced at about $5.00 so....

What Clean and Clear says:

HIGHLIGHTS

New! CLEAN & CLEAR® Deep Action Exfoliating Scrub is designed to invigorate skin by cleansing pores deep down and gently exfoliating surface skin. The CLEAN & CLEAR® Deep Action Exfoliating Scrub provides a tingly, cooling sensation as you gently massage the scrub on skin — the unmistakable, revitalizing feeling of a deep cleansing action.

WHAT'S IMPORTANT

The CLEAN & CLEAR® Deep Action Exfoliating Scrub cleanses deep down into pores, working to dissolve dirt, oil and impurities while exfoliating dead skin cells. The oil-free, refreshing formula includes: unique cooling agents that leave skin looking and feeling revitalized, a blend of specially sized micro-beads for gentle, effective exfoliation and cleansing, and Menthol to instantly rejuvenate skin

What I say:

Sure it gave me a fresh clean feeling and a nice tingle as well! But it didn't work that great fighting breakouts and blackheads. I'm not sure how great it did at exfoliating either. It has tiny micro beads used to exfoliate but they are gels so you don't feel like you are getting a deep down scrub. This is just my opinion...but if you are looking for a good exfoliator to stop break outs I would skip on this one. But if you are looking for a fresh clean feeling and a wake up in the am then this one is for you.

Herbal Essences Degunkify Deep Cleaning Shampoo...

I am just finsihing up my bottle of Herbal Essences Degunkify Deep Cleaning Shampoo and I wanted to share my experince with all of you :)

What Herbal Essences Says:

"Who needs a lot of extra baggage? lose the leftover gunk and ick of gels and sprays with my deep cleaning shampoo. clear your head with my invigorating, tingling suds made with a fusion of icy pineapple & cotton leaf. are you ready to squeak?"
What I say:

This Shampoo definatley left my hair feeling squeaky clean but I wasn't feeling much of a tingly sensation every time I used it. If I really scrubbed hard and built up a lots of bubbles on my scalp and kept at that for a couple minutes then I felt the rush of tingles. But otherwise...nothing! So I was a little disapointed in that but overall it cleans you hair wonderfully! I had no problem getting the product build up out of my hair! And I use alot of products! It's priced reasonably as well usually between $4.00-$5.00
